Green Waste

Green Waste (Tree Cutting)

In the metro city like Mumbai, fallen tree cutting and garden waste is huge, which is difficult to compost, as it takes more time to degrade. The best way deal with it is to shredding it in pieces, drying and compressing it to make Bio-mass briquettes.

Biomass briquettes are a biofuel substitute to coal and charcoal. There has been a move to the use of briquettes in the developed world, where they are used to heat industrial boilers in order to produce electricity from steam. The briquettes are cofired with coal in order to create the heat supplied to the boiler.

ESSL treats 100 tons of tree cuttings waste from Mumbai city in its two projects in Mumbai in partnership with MCGM, Mumbai.
